Wrath of a Mad God: part 1

From the title, Raymond Feist makes an appeal to read his book. I got curious and picked it up (digitally) and started to read. Having read previous books from Raymond Feist made it easier for me to get immersed into the book. The Conclave of Shadows, a cult of magicians, had discovered a horrifying secret. Different dimensions are mixing, unleashing unearthly creatures from lower levels of "hell" into the world of humans. These creatures defy all the rules governing the world, sucking life from everything they touch. They also cannot be destroyed easily, requiring magic over strength. The level below humans, the third plane of reality, is home to a brutal race called the Dasati. Killing is their culture, and warfare is their art. The boundary between their world and of the second plane is distorting. Three human magicians have managed to enter the third plane, attempting to find a way to stop this madness from spreading. They discover more than they would want. I enjoy reading the occasional fantasy story, and this trilogy is one of the better ones yet. I find the plot mesmerizing and it leads me to want to read on, to find the next twist and turn. The topics are detached enough from reality to make it seem possible but at the same time, a dream. After the first 100 pages, I'm longing to read on. What will the results of the efforts by the Conclave of Shadows? What will happen later on? A great book so far.
